Program and Services
Information and Referral
TLC acts as the first responder in Western Racine County for those experiencing homelessness. Staff networks with other local agencies to set up programming that will best suit the individuals’ needs and current location.
Emergency Shelter
Those meeting the program requirements can be provided shelter/services for up to 90 days. Programming offered through case management includes employment search, life skills development, AODA counseling, mental health referrals, medication management, financial mentoring, and parenting support.
Financial Mentoring
The staff works with participants to develop an appropriate budget and good money management skills. Participants work with staff to increase earned income, prioritize and pay expenses and explore ways to save money.
Continuum of Care
TLC works collaboratively with other agencies to ensure past participants are receiving continuity in care and services. Participants stay in their current programming even after moving out of the shelter. This allows for staff to make appropriate referrals, maintain progress, and foresee any crisis situation.
